about SSA at USF

The Saudi Student Association at the USF is a multicultural student organization that is registered and accredited by the Embassy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Saudi Arabian Cultural Mission, and the University of South Florida. It was established in 2010. In 2017, the organization gained more members and recognition inside the USF and ranked at the 8th place among the Saudi student clubs in the U.S.A. for the 2016/2017 academic year. By the end of 2018, SSA was ranked at the 5th place among the Saudi student clubs in the U.S.A. for the 2017/2018 academic year, and it has become one of the largest international student organizations at USF with over 640 members, around 90 annual activities and events, and executive board members with different disciplines and levels, mostly graduate students. In 2018 / 2019 academic year, the organization achieved:

1- The top place as the best Saudi student club in the U.S.A. among the Saudi student clubs in the U.S. Universities.

2- The "Multicultural Community Student Organization of the Year" award at the iHeart Diversity Award.

3- The "Outstanding Student Organization" at the 2019 Celebration of Leadership Awards.

 

Vision

To be the first among the best international student organizations in the USF and the Saudi student clubs in the USA, and to meet the student’s academic, cultural and social needs and expectations.

 

Mission

Represent the beliefs, values, and the culture of the Saudi students in the best way by celebrating their national events and ceremonies, participating in the humanitarian and volunteering activities, counseling scholarship students in Tampa, and collaborating with other fellow organizations to create an environment that enables Saudi students to engage with the multicultural student community.
